An error message indicating one of the services failed to start appears during startup; Event Viewer lists the affected services. CAUSE ===== The affected services fail to start because they depend on the IBMTOK to start properly. The error message for the IBMTOK in Event Viewer indicates that the adapter returned an invalid value and that the adapter is not functioning properly. WORKAROUND ========== To work around this problem, do one of the following: - Use the computer at a slower speed. -or- - Use a 16-bit or 32-bit card.
